San Antonio Brahmas release schedule for 2025 UFL season
Brahmas set to play in The Alamodome only four games this season

The San Antonio Brahmas were picked last year to finish as the worst team in the United Football league with the lowest odds to win the inaugural UFL Championship.
Instead Wade Phillips and the Brahmas finished the year with a record of 7-3, winning the XFL Conference Championship before getting shutout by the Birmingham Stallions, 25-0 in the UFL Championship Game last June.
San Antonio will not play an even five home-five away games like their two previous seasons, due to scheduling conflicts with the Alamodome hosting the 2025 Men’s Final Four in early April.
The Brahmas will play their XFL Conference opponents twice, leaving the rest of the four game slate matching up with USFL Conference opponents. The Brahmas will travel to Birmingham and Michigan while Houston and Memphis come to San Antonio.
San Antonio will have to travel to rival St. Louis twice this season, week two and week nine. Their week two matchup scheduled on April 6 was sandwiched in between the Final Four’s semifinal games and National Championship, leading to the scheduling conflict.
For their week nine matchup with the Battlehawks, San Antonio will be the designated home team wearing their home dark grey uniforms.
The UFL has used an “hub” model for its teams players, coaches and personnel rather than living in their teams city. Teams travel to their markets a day before kickoff and come back to Arlington, the league's headquarters.
The hub model is nothing new to spring football, the XFL has used Choctaw Stadium and the city of Arlington as base of operations since the 2022 season. Teams hold practices at local high school stadiums in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Last season the Brahmas as well as the Michigan Panthers practiced at Dragon Stadium, home of Southlake Carroll High School Dragons. For the players, every game is on the road besides games played at Choctaw Stadium.
According to the Sports Business Journal, San Antonio came in third overall in attendance behind D.C. and St. Louis with an average of 11,888 fans per game.
These numbers are a significant drop from the Brahmas first season in 2022, with the team garnering an average attendance of 14,983 per game.
Figures for spring football in San Antonio have looked even worse when compared to the defunct San Antonio Commanders’ per game attendance of 27,770 with their four home games in 2019.
San Antonio is set to kick-off their third season of play Saturday March 29 when they face the Arlington Renegades at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Brahmas’ first home game will be almost a month later on April 27, when they face the Houston Roughnecks in the Alamodome.
